Every mode custom-built
Bedwars, Battle Royale, Zombies, GunGame, FFA, Arena, Facechecks (1v1 SBMM), Deathrun (parkour + checkpoints), Hex-A-Gone, Training, Creative + Boat Building. Each one its own plugin, its own UI, its own balance pass.
Custom-built Rust Minigames — Bedwars, GunGame, BR, Zombies, FFA & more
Heatline Minigames is the EU Rust Minigames server built around custom-made gamemodes other servers don’t even attempt — ground-up gameplay we’ve spent months tuning. Bedwars sits alongside Battle Royale, Zombies, GunGame, FFA, Arena, Facechecks (1v1 SBMM with MMR), Deathrun (parkour with checkpoints and best-time leaderboards), Hex-A-Gone, a Training range with bots and aim drills, Creative with Symmetry and a Build Browser, and the newest mode: Creative Boat Building. Stats track across every mode and surface on the public website leaderboard. Premium Matches (★) are exclusive to Facepunch Premium accounts. VIP and Discord-Nitro boosters unlock match-creator tools, MVP victory sounds, persistent skinbox, queue skip, /grade, gradient names — and linking your Steam to Discord gets you a free perk tier of its own. EU hardware, 200+ server FPS, active admins.

Scoreboards, kill feeds, post-round MVP screens, mode-specific HUDs — every UI element designed and crafted in-house, mode by mode.
Some matches are exclusive to Facepunch Premium accounts (>$15 inventory). VIP and Nitro players can create Premium matches in any mode; Linked accounts can create Premium FFA.
Link your Steam to Discord in #link for free salvaged starter tools in Bedwars (upgrade from default metal), FFA match-creator access, Creative-instance invites for friends, a special Discord rank, and an in-game name color. VIP and Nitro Boosters unlock more — match-creator across all modes, MVP sounds, /grade, persistent skinbox, queue skip.
Every kill, win, K/D, streak, wave reached and best time is recorded and shown on the public /leaderboard. Facechecks and Deathrun also surface in-game standings.
Most Rust minigame servers stitch a few off-the-shelf plugins together and ship. Heatline runs differently: every mode sits on top of a custom-engineered core that ties them all together — match orchestration, persistent cross-mode stats, the perk system, Premium Match gating, and the ranked queue that powers Facechecks. Months of in-house engineering work other servers don’t attempt. It’s why the modes feel cohesive instead of disjointed.
On that foundation, every gamemode is a ground-up build with its own maps, custom scoreboards, kill feeds, post-round MVP screens, and dedicated HUDs designed mode-by-mode. Balance gets revisited regularly. A full library of custom gamemodes — and none of it half-built. Every mode is something we’d play ourselves.
A Bedwars gamemode built specifically for Rust. Each match has two phases:
Building phase — teams are walled off (10 minutes in Quick matches, 20 minutes in Long matches). Farm materials, build your base, place your bed, and buy weapons from your team’s vending machines. Each team has its own quarry producing scrap. Use the time to fortify before the walls drop.
Fighting phase — walls drop. Goal: raid enemy bases and break their bed. The center quarry (only accessible after walls drop) produces more scrap than the team ones. Boom is sold in center vending for scrap. At the center supply station, an airdrop can be called once the station is fully charged — charging takes roughly 10 minutes, then any player can trigger the drop and fight for the loot.
Match formats span Solo, Duo, Squad, 6-man and 10-man team sizes, all in 4-team brackets — a 10-man match runs as 10v10v10v10. Starter tools scale with your tier: everyone starts with standard metal tools, Linked accounts upgrade to salvaged tools, and VIP / Nitro players spawn with a Jackhammer + Chainsaw for the fastest early rotation.
Drop from the bus that flies above the map and pick your spot inside the circle. Loot is fully dynamic — no fixed crate layouts — with a few high-tier hotspots scattered for risk-reward decisions. Cars spawn around the map for rotation. Two lives: die once and you re-bus into the sky for a second drop. The zone shrinks over time and pressures all surviving players into one final fight. Solo and team queues both available.
Solo or team. Zombies arrive in waves — each wave harder than the last — and drop perks on death. Perks include movement-speed boosts, damage bonuses, ammo back on kills, auto-reload, and more. Special rooms unlock at specific wave thresholds, opening better vending machines with stronger gear. Goal: survive as long as you can. The leaderboard tracks your best wave.
Free-for-all. Progress through the weapon ladder one kill at a time — fastest knife last gets the win. Two flavours: standard (start primitive, climb to top weapons) and reverse (start with the best, descend to primitive). Tight, custom-built arenas — never a recycled dome map. Streaks award short power bonuses; the leaderboard tracks fastest clears.
FFA is open carnage on rotating maps with curated kit loadouts. Rounds run 10 minutes; at the end, players vote for the next map.
Arena is structured team-vs-team combat with custom UI showing live score and kills. Better team wins, the next round starts immediately — no downtime.
Fast-paced 1v1 training mode with skill-based matchmaking, an MMR system, persistent queues, and a monthly in-game leaderboard. Each match is a real-life Rust fighting scenario — the kind of crossroads encounter or peek-fight you have on a wipe-day server, drilled into a reproducible scenario for aim and decision practice. Climbing MMR is the goal; the monthly reset keeps the ladder competitive, and the in-game display shows the current month’s leaders.
A parkour gamemode with a mix of easy and hard jumps. Goal: finish each map as fast as possible. Miss a jump and you respawn at your last checkpoint instead of restarting from the beginning — no game-over screens, just keep going. The in-game leaderboard tracks best times per map — climb the boards, beat your friends.
The Fall Guys-style hexagon mode, ported faithfully. Tiles break under your feet — last one standing wins. Short rounds, fast restarts. Pure reflex and read.
Multiple training options: bot scenarios, copter shooting, realistic-movement drills. Live precision and timing stats so you can see what’s actually improving. Modify weapons on the fly to test loadouts before queuing into a real match. The mode every PvP player should be using before they queue Fridays.
Pure sandbox for testing builds. Symmetry mirrors your placements across the axis you choose — perfect for honeycomb work or symmetric base designs. Build Browser lets you save your current build, load builds from other players, and share your own. Use the share/invite tools to collaborate live.
The newest addition: a sandbox tuned for Rust’s playerboat system. Same Build Browser integration as regular Creative — save and load boat builds, share them with friends. Built specifically around the new boat mechanics.
Some matches are flagged Premium and marked with a ★ — they’re available only to Facepunch Premium accounts (Rust inventory above $15). VIP and Nitro players can create Premium matches across any mode; Linked accounts can create Premium FFA matches only.
Heatline runs three perk tiers, each unlocking more.
